Quick answer

Interact with the cat at the farmhouse to receive Treasure Map 1. The current Treasure table points to the large tree between the Mall parking lot and the Mall entrance. Bring a Shovel and test the ground tile indicated by the map; this site has not personally reproduced the dig.

Get Treasure Map 1 at home.

The Items and Treasure tables both associate Treasure Map 1 with petting the farm cat. A recorded early-game playthrough also shows the map being obtained from the cat's collar around 24:28.

  1. Return to the farmhouse area.
  2. Interact with the farm cat.
  3. Check Key Items for Treasure Map 1 and use it to view the clue.

Use the large tree as the landmark.

The collaborative official wiki places the treasure in the Mall parking lot, by the large tree between the lot and the entrance. This is an area-level description, not a copied screenshot or a guaranteed pixel-perfect tile.

Match the map first: if several ground tiles are interactable around the tree, compare their position to the Key Item image instead of repeatedly digging across the whole parking lot.

Bring a Shovel and check the right tile.

The current Items table describes the Shovel as the tool used to dig buried treasure by interacting with the correct tile. It lists the Shovel at the General Store for 50g; that price is wiki-sourced and may change.

  • Confirm Treasure Map 1 is in Key Items.
  • Carry or own the Shovel before making the trip.
  • Search the tree between the parking lot and Mall entrance—not an arbitrary tree elsewhere at the Mall.
  • If nothing happens, verify the map number and current version before assuming the location moved.

The cat pickup is supported by both the wiki and recorded footage. The exact dig landmark and reward quantities currently come from Treasure revision 4481; we have not independently reproduced them in the game or copied the wiki's map image.
